More than a quarter century of excellence
Since the very beginning in 1975, we have been a general contractor specialized in commercial, institutional and industrial projects.
Situated in Carleton-sur mer on the Gaspé Peninsula, our enterprise has acquired a solid reputation and has undergone steady growth over the years.
Today, Construction L.F.G. is one of the most important small enterprises in the construction sector in Eastern Quebec and we have a first-rate multi-disciplinary team composed of close to 250 employees during peak periods.
Construction L.F.G. continued its development in the middle of the decade 2000 and continued looking for new markets. The wind power sector became a very interesting and important sector for the near future.
It was in 2005 that the enterprise made its entry into the wind power sector when it obtained the construction contract to build the LM Glasfiber plant (wind tower manufacturer in Gaspé.
In 2006, Construction L.F.G. obtained its first contract for a wind power farm with Cartier Energie; the Parc éolien à l’Anse-à-Valleau , on the Gaspé Peninsula.
In 2009, a partnership between Construction L.F.G. inc., EBC inc. and TCI gave birth to the Construction Énergie Renouvelable (C.E.R. s.e.n.c.). The mission of this company is the development of wind power in Quebec.
In the spring of 2010 this new enterprise succeeded in obtaining its first important contracts: the development of 3 wind farms on the Gaspé in Montagne-Sèche, Gros-Morne and the Plateaux.
More contracts are in the works for C.E.R in Quebec. In additional a new consortium was created in 2009 for the development of wind power in New Brunswick.
Moreover, the continued growth of the fabrication and welding division of Construction L.F.G. incited us to structure this activity in independently 2008. We therefore created the new Les Ateliers CFI Métal inc. company. The mission of this company is « to offer customized fabrication, welding and mechanical assembly services for heavy industrial equipment and to employ the skills of its employees for the service of its clients ».
Our specialized sectors : commercial, industrial and civil engineering
- Commercial and institutional sector : we offer turnkey or ‘all included’ projects and the management of projects.
- Industrial sector : we offer mechanical, plumbing, building and civil engineering services.
- Civil engeneering sector : we also complete many other types of projects, including infrastructure repair work, construction of roads, dikes, sediment basins, along with many others.
We are an enterprise that is specialized in the fields of civil engineering, building and process engineering, and we employ the skills of our employees for the service of our clients in order to meet their requirements.
To be recognized as one of the primary competitors in the commercial construction, mechanical (industrial) and civil (wind power) industry throughout Quebec.
